Lume is proud to be a member of Sustainable Salons, supporting responsible beauty practices that care for both people and the planet.
Through this program, materials such as foils, paper, plastics, metals, hair and beauty waste are recovered, recycled or repurposed, helping to significantly reduce landfill. Sustainable Salons also supports local communities by creating employment opportunities and funding important social initiatives.

The program began in the hairdressing industry and now creates waste solutions for barber shops, beauty salons, dermal clinics and pet-grooming salons as well. Sustainable Salons provides each member the in-salon separation bins and outside collection bins to suit the salon’s needs and offers a fortnightly collection service directly to the salon door.
